Team San Jose is a company that promotes the illustrious and beautiful city of San Jose as a sought-after destination to help better stimulate economic development. It strategically partners with the San Jose Convention and Visitors Bureau, Hotel Arts, other popular venues and ultimately serves as the gateway to San Jose as a target destination for tourists. Some of my skills that were utilized for this project were image retouching for magazine ads, creating texture, creating maps, illustrations and icons.

Also with this project, I created their Facility User Guide from scratch. It stemmed from a 33-page document, and the overall process was completed within 3 different design approaches. The style guide templates that I used consisted of a cover design, font size, icons and layout.

I came up with this final version of the facilities user guide, using an artist’s eye. Teal gradient image treatment along with corporate fonts for the cover design aligned beautifully with the company website
and the company brand guide as a whole.
Using a darker color in the body paragraph and main title against a white background creates eye-catching contrast. As the color fades down the page, the less important content remains below, causing
the highly contrasting light on dark at the top of the page to really
pop, illuminating the more important content and drawing the eye to it.
